I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received my license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in 2006.
I earned my bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California University of Fresno and my Masters in Social Work from California University of Stanislaus.
I have extensive experience working for non-profit counseling centers, hospitals, and clinics. I have worked with both children and their families as well as adults 18 to 95.
They say "Make a living doing what you love and you will never work a day in your life". That is how I feel about my work. I with adolescents, individuals and families with a focus on healing from the effects of trauma, working through attachment issues, grief, loss, overcoming depression, anxiety, and improving the quality of personal relationships. It is my belief that the therapeutic process is a collaborative one, in which I assist my clients in gaining skills they need to reach their goals and make the changes that they desire. I am trained in cognitive behavioral approaches as well as acceptance treatment, trauma-informed treatment, and mindfulness therapy. However, treatment is tailored to the needs of the client for optimal success in achieving their goals. I understand that it can be difficult to accept help and I am sensitive to fears or hesitancy clients have. All client information is held in strict confidence without judgment so that clients can feel safe. Reach out today for an appointment. My schedule varies for the convenience of my clientele.
